My Work
Boots pharmacy
Over several years I’ve worked for Boots as an employee then as a freelancer.
My work has included:
Researching and writing health information for a lay audience
Ensuring the content I write meets their pharmacy, legal and medical standards
Writing landing page copy for their Macmillan Cancer Support campaign
Editing health information to ensure it’s accurate and meets brand guidelines particularly on tone of voice
Interviewing subject matter experts such as pharmacists, opticians and dietitians
Working on marketing campaigns on subjects such as heart health, eye health, smoking and nutrition.
“Becca delivered well researched and brilliantly written health copy for us. She captured our tone of voice perfectly, with warm and reassuring content that simplified complex topics for our audience.”

Natasha’s Allergy Research Foundation
I provided copywriting support to Natasha’s Allergy Research Foundation while it was The Times Christmas Appeal Charity and then when it launched Allergy School, the charity’s pioneering education programme.
I helped by:
Writing social media posts for the launch of Allergy School
Interviewing people with food allergies and writing up their stories
Putting together an in-depth report on food allergies
Writing case studies for their bursary programme
Drafting press releases and blog content.
“It was great to have Becca on board for a few months at The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation to help with a number of specific projects. Her work was thorough, accurate and delivered to deadline and a real help on the comms side of the charity. Thank you.”
